GRV.js uses Node.js and Discord.js to build an observable audio pipeline: yt-dlp resolves permitted public audio sources, FFmpeg decodes them into 48 kHz stereo PCM, and @discordjs/voice sends the stream to Discord Voice. Voice responses use a PCM mixer for ducking, with DAVE/E2EE-compatible voice transport.
Design principle: one playback generation and one terminal event per track. Stream position, format, bitrate, and end reason are recorded as structured events so developers can inspect early EOF, retries, and queue transitions.
